The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Wholesale Homebuilders Hardware

In designing a new logo for Wholesale Homebuilders Hardware, The Logo Loft moved away from the typical style and imagery of the building supply industry to create a more refined graphic look. In doing so, The Logo Loft has supplied the client with a logo that is unique and instantly recognizable.

The designers at The Logo Loft chose to use a highly stylized graphic representation of the company's initials, WHH, to serve as the logo. They supplied the client with options using several combinations of colors, including the blue-on-blue scheme showed above. This gives the client versatility in selecting the appropriate logo on any given occasion, while keeping the look uniform so that it can continue to build brand awareness.

The choice to forego any true graphic element was an unusual one for The Logo Loft, but for this client it has proven to be the right one.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Trauma Unit

How do you bring a sense of fun to a name like “Trauma Unit”? That was the challenge placed before The Logo Loft when this new client came looking for a logo that would sum up their mission statement: “We bring the life to the party.”

The Logo Loft's final design uses a dynamic color scheme and instantly recognizable imagery such as a speaker and a spiking EKG line to both play off the name of the company and to emphasize it’s musical mission. This logo is a classic example of what the Logo Loft design team does best - take the essence of the client and communicate it in an unforgettable piece of art.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Pond Rocket

The makers of Pond Rocket ice skates came to The Logo Loft for a logo design that suggests speed. The Logo Loft designers came up with an illustration that, through its use of curved lines and fire blasts, portrays the company’s signature product as something sleek and fast. The Logo Loft team also used a blocky, futuristic font as a play on the “rocket” aspect of the name. Put together, these elements give the whole Logo Loft design a sense of free-wheeling motion that perfectly captures the spirit and purpose of the client.

Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Gekkology.com

“Learning can be fun.” At least, that’s the idea the people behind gekkology.com wanted to communicate with their new logo. By infusing a whimsical visual element with a bright, fun color scheme, the designers at The Logo Loft helped the company send just that message.

The Logo Loft incorporated the site’s mascot, a bespectacled, bright green-and-orange gecko lizard, as the main visual aspect of the logo. The gecko, seen here reading a book, is a kid-friendly symbol of learning that helps communicate what the site is about.

The Logo Loft's choice of a modern font, colored to match the shades of the mascot, works seamlessly with the image to produce an arresting logo that imparts a lot of information in a short amount of time.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: Deccan Development

Deccan Development is a construction and development company that prides itself on using the cutting edge in technologies, techniques, materials and services. They came to The Logo Loft looking for a logo that would represent their identity with a simple, modern-looking design.

Logo Loft designers started with an image of a winding spiral that suggested upward movement and progress. This was an important theme to convey for a construction company, both in the literal sense of the buildings they create and in the forward-thinking approach of Deccan in particular. The Logo Loft captured this spirit in one simple, fluid concept.

The Logo Loft employed both color and transparency to give the image a 3-D effect. The Logo Loft then chose a clean font to use for the company name. The name manages to blend into the overall logo while still holding its own against the strong image. Likewise, the image, when pulled away from the company name, is able to retain its meaning.

Overall, this is another successful effort by the designers at The Logo Loft.

The Logo Loft Project Spotlight: RugBunnies.com

For RugBunnies.com, The Logo Loft created a bold, two-color graphic that will work great for print reproduction. The Logo Loft’s design is simple and clever, incorporating a rabbit-eye view of the carpet along with a cute bunny outline. The effect achieved here by The Logo Loft is one of a rabbit laying in grass, reinforcing a sense of belonging that was important to the client.

The Logo Loft chose a bold, geometric font to accompany the graphic. The color palette of brown and pink helps the brighter color pop without making the whole logo too feminine.

Overall, The Logo Loft has delivered a solid logo for its client.

Logo Loft Project In Progress: The Great Growth Adventure

For The Great Growth Adventure, The Logo Loft designed a logo with a great sense of movement and fun. The raft and the whimsical waves used by the Logo Loft designer helps suggest the feel of adventure, while the colors promote a sense of unity and harmony.

As this is still a work in progress, the text may get a little tweaking. The word “Great” pops out more than the rest of the name here, and the Logo Loft might consider using a flashier font, especially for the word “Adventure,” which is the idea the company really wants to get across. Overall, though, this is a good effort from The Logo Loft.
